Pre-installed with the firmware update V7 for the Pavotube II 6C

Don't have a USB-C thumbdrive to upgrade your Pavotube?

We have pre-installed the firmware so you can simply plug this USB thumb drive into your Pavotube and upgrade to the new features. Just Turn off the PavoTube II 6C, insert this USB Thumbdrive into the USB port of the Pavotube, and turn on the Pavotube. Press the “+” button to choose “update” and press “MODE” button to confirm, then the screen will show “updating”. The screen of the fixture will turn back to the operation interface after the update is completed.

After the upgrade you can re-use this thumb drive for anything you like. With 32GB of space, and both connector styles, it makes a handy way to transfer photos from a Macbook with USB-C connectors, to other computers with USB 2.0 connectors.

If you already have a USB-C thumb drive, you can do you own installation following these instructions:

A. Download the firmware installation package from http://en.nanlite.com/services/firmware?pid=174
B. Store the “PavoTubeII6C_V0.00.07.udp” in the root directory of the U-disk.
C. Turn off the PavoTube II 6C, insert the U-disk into the USB port of the fixture, and turn on the fixture. Press the “+” button to choose “update” and press “MODE” button to confirm, then the screen will show “updating”. The screen of the fixture will turn back to the operation interface after the update is completed.

2. Precaution:
A. The format of the U-disk must be FAT32 or FAT.
B. The name of the firmware “PavoTubeII6C_V0.00.07.udp” must not be changed.
C. The firmware must be placed in the root directory instead of any other folders.
3. Troubleshooting:
If the lighting fixture cannot identify the U-disk, please follow the steps below:
A. Examine whether the name of the firmware is “PavoTubeII6C_V0.00.07.udp”.
B. Ensure the format of the U- disk is FAT32 or FAT. If the format is not FAT32 or FAT, please format the U-disk to FAT32 before following step 1.B and 2.C of the upgrade instructions above.
C. If the format of the U-disk is FAT32 or FAT
c1. Please examine if the upgrade package is in the root directory.
c2. Please try to format the U-disk and follow the step 1.B and 1.C of the
upgrade instructions above.
D. If the two steps mentioned above have been followed but the U-disk still cannot be identified, please replace the U-disk with another one and try again.
E. The lighting fixture can identify the U-disk, but the interface of the screen
remains displaying “updating” for over 5 mins and cannot return to the operation interface.
a. Please restart the lighting fixture and follow the upgrade instructions
again to enter the updating state. If the problem still cannot be solved by rebooting the fixture, please try the next step below.
b. Please try to format the U-disk and follow steps 1.B and 1.C of theupdate instructions above.
c. If the two steps mentioned above have been followed but the U-disk still cannot be identified, please replace the U-disk with another one.
