Reflectors are lighting modifiers that are not directly hooked up to your lighting. There are several different colors of reflectors available, and this element is the most important factor in choosing your reflector. Silver reflectors brighten your picture without affecting the light color; white produces a neutral fill, without any colour or quality changes to the light; gold adds warmth to the colour profile; black introduces negative fill - effectively removing light from the subject to increase contrast and interest; translucent will diffuse stark light sources and soften the lighting.
