Designed for modern DV camcorders weighing up to 6-kilograms, this easy to set up crane system will elevate your camera from ground level up to 4.2m (14 feet) depending on the size of your tripod. Using the Cobra Crane Ultralite 12 is simple, quick and efficient since no tools are required. Once set up is complete learn to utilize the cranes wide sweeping arcs within a few minutes. The dual arm crane allows your camera to smoothly swing, boom, dip, arc or combine those moves into enhancing the quality of your shots.
Perfect balance allows you to add correct counterweights, letting you take your hands off the crane when needing to explain directions, adjust props, models or take a break. No additional hardware is needed. The camera doesn’t move nor will the crane until the operator redirects it. Every crane system comes with an industry standard quick release plate (fits most Manfrotto 501/503/504 tripod heads) allowing you to use your tripod for crane shots or camera/tripod only recording.
Unlike other camera cranes, Cobra Cranes have a tilting head which is controlled directly from the tripod you have attached the crane to.
If you tilt your tripod panhead, the head of the crane will tilt as well.....very cool.
No additional bearings needed since the crane is designed with the total camera weight in mind. This eliminates the need for expensive bearing kits for your system. The CobraCrane Ultralite 12 can support up to 6 kilograms or as little as .45-kilos.
This the Cobra Crane's longest dual bar crane. With the ability to boom a camera weighing up to 6kg, the Crane provides 9 feet (270cm) above the tripod head, or 14 feet above the ground (on a 5 foot Tripod) and can go as low as ground level, offering incredible performance at a very competitive price.
