HI Cameron, yes, that is normal for 2700mAH. In Break-In mode, the MH-C9000 charger will provide 0.1C (270mA in this case) for 16 hours. 270mA x 16h= 4320mAh

I've been doing the discharge, then breakin with this charger on the powerex 2700's and on the latest set i'm reading 1.49v, 3800mah during a break in cycle, is this normal?

Yes, I would recommend using or discharging a LSD battery first, but given the slow rate of charge used in the break-in mode, it is not essential.

Just a crazy thought. If you have a new LSD (long self discharge) battery, would it be better to use it first because for sure it would have a charge, rather than discharging it on the charger? Again just another crazy thought.
