Hi Steven

1. Yes, both the 800S and he 801D will switch to a trickle charge once the batteries are fully charged. The charge rate is 10mA

2. I would expect it to take closer to 6 hours than 8 hours. The time difference may be explained by the less than 100% efficiency in the transfer of energy from the charger to the battery.

3. The 10mA trickle charge rate is a very low amount of energy. It is not designed for charging, just to keep the battery at full capacity. At such a low rate it is safe to leave the batteries in the 800S or 801D until you are ready to use them.

Some questions on the MH-C800S:

1. After the full charge (indicator show "Done"), does the C800S maintain the tricker charge? if yes what's the charge current?

2. I've just got 8pcs of the PowerEx 2700mAh AA, I start to charge 4pcs in "Soft Mode" it that about ~8 hours to finished and show "Done" in the indicator, is this normal? since the "Soft Mode" charge current was 500mA if base on calculation it should take no more then 6 hours (to give 3000mA to the batts) to complete the charge.

3. Last and "old" question that remain "un-clear" for many peoples, is it safe to remain the NIMH batts in the C800S (or any MAHA smart charger) 24/7 after it's fully charged?? If not why?

Thanks & Regard,
Steven
